Mason, Inc. Launches Mason Onofrio Public Relations
Firm to provide high-value, specialized public relations services for the food & beverage, healthcare and financial services markets

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 14, 2005) -- In a move to deliver specialized public relations services for organizations seeking strategic public relations counsel and objective-based implementation, Mason, Inc. has created a stand-alone public relations unit called Mason Onofrio.

In addition to providing a full range of services including research, brand consulting, issues management and product publicity, Mason Onofrio specializes in helping clients in the food & beverage, health care and financial services markets.

With more than 20 years experience in the communications arena, Onofrio joined Mason in 1998 as Vice President, Director of Public Relations. Prior to that, he was Director of Public Relations & Marketing at Hartford-based Travelers Insurance and before that held marketing and communications posts at Aetna, Inc.

Onofrio is a past President of the Connecticut Valley and Southern Connecticut chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). In 1995, he earned accreditation through PRSA. He served as PRSA's Tri-State District Chair in 2001 and is a frequent Silver Anvil Judge.

Under Fran's leadership, Mason Onofrio has garnered numerous awards including a national PRSA Bronze Anvil for the New England Krispy Kreme opening, several Bell Ringer Awards from the Publicity Club of New England and many Gold and Silver Mercury Awards including Best of Shows sponsored by the three Connecticut PRSA chapters.

Onofrio received the PRSA Mercury Award for the Connecticut Public Relations Practitioner of the Year in 2004.
